Copyright and Licensing
The Journal of the College of Languages is committed to the principles of open access to knowledge, and makes the research published in it available under an open-access publishing policy. Researchers retain the copyright to their scholarly works published in the journal, while granting the journal the right of first publication.
All research is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International — CC BY 4.0 license, which allows others to read, download, copy, distribute, and reuse the research for scholarly and academic purposes, provided that clear reference is made to the original source and the published research and journal name are properly cited.
This policy contributes to increasing the dissemination of researchers' scholarly output and expanding opportunities to benefit from it and cite it, both locally and internationally.
Reproduction of Research Published by Other Publishers
The researcher bears full responsibility for obtaining the necessary approvals and permissions to use or republish any material protected by intellectual property rights, including figures, illustrations, tables, images, maps, or any other parts of works previously published by other parties.
The journal requires the researcher to obtain permission in the following cases:
Republishing works or parts of works previously published by other publishers, where the researcher does not own the rights to publish them.
Using previously published tables, figures, illustrations, or images without making substantial modifications to them.
Reproducing lengthy excerpts from previously published works or studies.
Using photographs or visual materials that the researcher does not have the rights to use.
The journal does not require the researcher to obtain permission in the following cases:
Reconstructing your own table using data already published elsewhere. Please note that in this case you must cite the source of the data in the form "data from …" or "adapted from …".
Graphs, diagrams, or artwork that the researcher has fully redrawn and substantially altered to the point that it no longer requires attribution.
Obtaining Permission
To avoid unnecessary delays in the publication process, permissions should be sought as early as possible. The Journal of the College of Languages cannot publish research quoted from other publications without permission.
The copyright owner may provide instructions regarding the required form of acknowledgment for documenting their work; otherwise, follow this pattern: "Reproduced with permission from [Author], [Book/Journal]; published by [Publisher], [Year]," at the end of the caption for the table, figure, or diagram.
