הילדות נחשבה השלב חשוב בתולדות האדם, וגם המשפיע ביותר בהיווצרות של אישיותו, משום שבו תתהווה את הליבה של ציוני דרך אישיותו של האדם, ויתגבש בו את ציוני דרכו ותכונותו שלו, וגם תשרטט את הבסיס העיקרי של מה יהיה האדם בעתיד. היות והילדות נשארה היא והשלכותיה בקרבו של האדם, עם זכרונותיה היפות והעצובים כאחד, במחקר זה עסקנו בילדותו של הסופר עמוס עוז כסיסמה לפענוח לדמותו, ולספרותו, כמו כן לכאבים שהעברו עליו בילדותו, כאבים אלה שמשקפים את עומק הסבל ורגישות לעבר השלב החמור בחייו  , שלב זה שמלווה אותו עד גדולתו. יצירותיו הראשונות כוללות חלק גדול בילדות בירושלים , תחילה יתומים וחסך רגשי וניתוק ממשפחה, והעובדה שיצירותיו הראשונים הן  בעלות נימה סוביקטיבית סנטימנטלית ישירות,היות וכל התמונות שעצב אותן נבעו מחייו וסבלו האישי של הסופר, לכן הילדות ברומן "סיפור על על אהבה וחושך "הצטיינו בשליליות מוגזמית ששררו באותם תמונות שהציגה את הילד והילדות הראתה נשלל , מדוכא... וכו '

Abstract:

Childhood are considered an important stage of human history, and most influential in the formation of his personality, because it formed the core of the human personality landmarks, and crystallized landmarks and features, and made up the outlines of what will be the man in the future. Where the effects remain immortal in his core, and her memories of the beautiful and sad alike, in this research dealt with the Childhood of  writer Amos Oz as a key to his character, and to the literature, as well as to the pain that passed him in his childhood, and which reflect the depth of suffering and hyper-sensitivity to the severe stage of old accompanied by their effects until old age.
