لأسلوب المقارنة اثر كبير في رواية (سيرة حياة) للكاتب غي دو موباسان و يعود تميزه في هذا النوع الروائي لاختياره موضوعه و لطريقة كتابته السلسة، اذ امتاز بأسلوب بسيط و مختصر و طبيعي.
لقد استعمل الكاتب اسلوب المقارنة في مدخل روايته اذ يقارن فيه مدة انتقالية من العالم المغلق المتمثل بالدير الى المساحة المفتوحة الشاسعة من ريف (النورماندي La Normandie) التي تمثل لبطلته (جان) الحياة و الحرية المنشودة.
من خلال هذا البحث سنحاول الاجابة عن الاسئلة التي تخص اهمية استعمال اسلوب المقارنة في رواية الكاتب موباسان، و لقد وجدنا ان الكاتب استعمل صيغة المقارنة و ذلك للخصائص التي تمتاز بها من ايجاز على الرغم من انها تختصر المعنى و لكن تفي بالغرض كما تقرب لنا الاشياء كونها تحاكي الجانب الحسي . و اخيرا تضفي على النص جمالية لا يعطيها اي اسلوب اخر.
