البحث الحالي هو محاولة متواضعة لتقدیم دراسة علمیة توضّح أهم الخطوات التی یجب علی کل مترجم اتباعها لیصل إلی ترجمة دقیقة وصحیحة للنص الذی یقوم بترجمته من لغة المبدأ إلی لغة المقصد.وقد تضمن البحث ستة مطالب رئیسة أسهمت بمجموعها فی تقدیم صورة واضحة عن الترجمة المهنية لأي نص.
ومن أهم النتائج التي توصل اليها البحث ، أنّ الترجمة العملیة المهنية شأنها شأن اي فعالية أدبية اخرى ؛ لابد أن تسیر متسلسلة یتبع بعضها الآخر ، یمکن تلخیصها بالآتی : ( اختيار الكتاب ، الحصول على موافقة صاحب الكتاب ، البدء بترجمة متن الكتاب ، فهم عنوان الكتاب بشکل دقیق ، تنقيح المتن المترجم ، وأخیرا اختيار دار نشر جیدة وقيمة لنشر الكتاب المترجم ) ، حتی تصبح الترجمة ذات قیمة علمیة،وإلا فإنها ستكون قليلة الفائدة ،وعدیمة الأهمیة .
